// About me

I'm Dominie. I support, challenge, stretch and nurture the people running businesses, so they don't have to do it all alone.

Portrait of Dominie, business coach and consultant

Nearly 20 years inside real businesses

Where the real learning happens; in the relationships, the mistakes, and the moments that don't fit on a CV.

I started at 19, which was either very brave or slightly unhinged, depending on who you ask. What I had going for me was a willingness to learn from the people who'd already done it, and the relationships I built along the way. Those relationships, and the mistakes I made, were where the real learning happened.

Since then I've built, led and turned around teams and businesses of my own. I've mentored and supported school leavers who've grown into business owners themselves, worked alongside senior professionals navigating the crazy corporate world, and everyone in between. I've made calls that worked, calls that definitely didn't, and learned that business is always about people. And people, it turns out, are equal parts brilliant and completely ridiculous. I love that about them.

Genuinely, I adore humans. I find them endlessly intriguing, and helping someone see things differently, or back themselves enough to challenge their own thinking, is my favourite thing. In this work, and in life.

I don't do slide decks, five-step frameworks or performative pep talks. What I do is show up honestly, hold space when you need it, and ask the question that actually gets you moving again. Because the best leaders aren't the ones with all the answers; they're the ones brave enough to ask better questions. I'll challenge you when you're hiding, stretch you when you're ready, and nurture the part of you that's tired. We'll definitely do some laughing, because sometimes that's the only sensible thing to do!

Building this business has been its own leap out of my comfort zone. Showing my face, owning the vulnerability, leaning into a new chapter. No polished performance. Just real, raw, present.

I know what it's like to do the thing that feels bigger than you, and that willingness to sit in the uncomfortable stuff is what I bring into every conversation.

Outside of work, I live in the Adelaide Hills with my husband, our three incredible daughters and a small zoo we never quite planned: Winnie the Groodle, one cat, 12 chickens, 2 goldfish and 2 spiny leaf insects. Being out in nature, hiking, exploring, and hearing my girls laughing; those are my favourite things. My theatre-loving husband gets me along to any show or live music we can find, we take delicious food very seriously, and we co-own a gym, where I make a reasonably consistent attempt at staying somewhat fit and strong.

All of it feeds the same thing I love about this work: people, in real life, being brilliantly and ridiculously themselves.

What I am is honest, present and genuinely in your corner. I hold space when you need to vent, I challenge you when you're hiding, and I stretch you when you're ready to grow. I nurture the part of you that's tired, and I bring a steady, no-bullshit energy to the part that's stuck.

Think of me as the person you want beside you when business gets messy. Not there to perform or posture, but to say "I've got you," and mean it. Someone who understands the game, understands you, and isn't afraid to sit in the hard stuff before helping you do something about it.

People who've worked with me tend to say the same kind of thing: that I ask the questions no one else will, that I help them think differently, that they feel properly seen. That's the relationship I want to build with you.

Whatever you're navigating, a hard conversation, a team that isn't working, a decision you keep circling back to, I want to walk alongside you and help you stop carrying it all alone.
